Happy Brithday

Shruti Sara is exactly two weeks old today! :-)

It is a little hard to believe that its already been 2 weeks since she arrived. These past two weeks have been wonderful. Every day is a new adventure, a new discovery, and a new opportunity to experience gratitude for Radharani’s gift to us.

This morning there was a pleasant chill in the air, reminding us that Summer is gently turning to Fall. Soon enough, we will be celebrating so many firsts and milestones for Shruti. Some of these will be moments of shared joy and we will welcome in our friends and family, both in real-time and virtually. Others, of course, will be memories that we will observe in a more private way.

We will probably NOT be blogging regularly about Shruti; instead we hope to use this space for occasional and sporadic updates, or to share photos or other media with you from time to time.

Thanks for being a part of Shruti Sara’s auspicious arrival. We  ask that you continue to bless Shruti Sara. We feel strongly that she is here with us because of your blessings and prayers.

Dearest Friends and Family,

Thank you all for your warm wishes and for so eagerly and patiently awaiting the photos of Shruti Sara. Here are some of our favorites, hope you enjoy them…

Shruti Sara’s First Few Days

Pictures of the Labor

Labor!

Some shots from the hospital while Krsangi was in early and active labor with Shruti Sara. Sorry, no pictures of the actual birth, though.

Pregnant Krsangi

Amazingly, taken only a few hours before Krsangi started having contractions and went into labor!

Update

Haribol,

Shruti Sara has been keeping us blissfully busy and we’ve been having a great time getting to know her. We’ve both been staying at the hospital for a few days with her, and its been quite nice. Despite the rainy days and gray skies outside, we’ve been happy inside our cozy room on the 4th floor.  Tomorrow evening, we return home.

Thanks to everyone who sent us warm wishes, blessings, and prayers. And much gratitude to those who have made it out to visit and officially meet Shruti Sara (even though she was probably sleeping when you were here!). We appreciate it. We hope to re-connect with everyone soon. Please continue to be patient with us, and feel free to drop us a line or give us a call.

Once we’re home again, we’ll upload some pictures of Shruti Sara for everyone who is eager to sneak a peek at our little Radhastami superstar.

:-)

Thanks again for all the love and blessings.

Your servants,
Venkata and Krsangi

Mornings with Daddy

My Darling Shruti Sara,

I want you to know that I will miss these special mornings with you… these first few days of your life, with everything so new and fresh. I will miss how  you snuggle up to me in the early hours and how nice it is to feel you breathing softly in the crook of my arm. I will definitely miss the quiet intimacy of our hospital room, me and you connecting in unspoken loving glances, your eyes adjusting to the sight of me, your little face making funny charming expressions.

I know that we have many, many wonderful days ahead of us and that we will make many memories together as father and daughter. But I want you to know that I will always, always cherish these mornings  that we shared.

All My Love,
your pita,
Venkata

Note: We are posting this letter despite the fact that we are clearly undeserving of Maharaj’s kind words, in the hopes that we may share his soft-hearteded loving nature with others and honor the blessings he freely distributes. We feel so blessed by our spiritual uncle. Sadhu, sadhu!

cool_IDSDearest Shruti Sara,

Please accept my blessings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

On this auspicious day I would like to welcome you to the home of your
wonderful parents.  It is the grace of God and your past devotional service
that has given you the chance to take birth on the holy day of Srimate
Radharani’s appearance celebration. And in the early morning hours at that!
May this all be an indication that you will grow up to be a wonderful and
saintly vaisnavi.

Lord Krsna has placed you in the care of wonderful parents. I know them both
and I am sure they will raise you nicely. Such a birth is rare in this
world. Take full advantage and later in life help Srila Prabhupada and Lord
Caitanya to further advance this great movement.

I just arrived in Vrindavan for a stay of several months. Tomorrow I will
say a prayer for you at each of the 7 main temples here, as well as at our
Krsna Balarama Mandir.

May the Lord shower you with mercy and may you amaze the world one day with
your devotional qualities!

With affectionate regards,
Indradyumna Swami
